In the fast-paced and ever-evolving world of Artificial Intelligence (AI), understanding the different types of AI, and how they’re transforming both everyday life and clinical practice, can be a challenge.
To help demystify this complex landscape, the Solutions Architects at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust have developed a digital shelf of AI booklets. These accessible guides break down the core principles and clinical applications of AI technologies, from Large Language Models to Computer Vision.
Designed to support NHS staff and external partners alike, the booklets aim to build foundational knowledge and encourage confident, informed engagement with AI in healthcare pathways.
Since their release, the booklets have gained international attention—with over 10,000 views across 29 countries, highlighting their value as a globally relevant educational resource.
As the NHS continues its journey into AI-driven innovation, these booklets will remain a key tool in supporting digital literacy and accelerating operational efficiency across the system.
